Arraby's Aromatherapy
literally started over a kitchen table at Shawnigan Lake, British Columbia in
1997. Two friends, Pat Scanlan and Leola Witt-McNie, used their knowledge
of Essential Oils and natural ingredients to create a line of pure products
which they then sold to other companies. They called their company "Choices."
Seeing the potential, Ms Scanlan decided to devote her energies to developing
the company full time. Ms Witt-McNie was not so inclined and in 1999 the
original partnership was ended.

Arraby's then became a
family business with husband Patrick, children Jennifer, Andria and her
husband Richard, sons Michael and James and daughter Lorraine all stepping in
when and where it counts. Good friend Carol Watson designed the company Logo
and Grandmother Bonnie helps with the manufacturing. She says that "smelling
all of the oils is an added benefit!"
Recently Arraby's has once
again undergone major changes. Son Michael has taken over the retail end of
the business leaving Pat free to concentrate on manufacturing. This enables
the company to expand into new product lines - an expansion that has been
encouraged by many faithful customers. Michael is busy setting up
distributors across Canada and is presenting at shows in throughout Western Canada.
